My name is Heather. I have gone by many MANY alias' on the internet. Currently, I am Hez or Hezzie, but you can always call me Heather :}
I was born (1970), raised, and still live in Ottawa Ontario Canada. I have a wonderful husband (Ken aka SpecialK) and we have two fantastic children! When I was born, I was placed for adoption, and fortunately, God found me the perfect family! In this family, my father immigrated from Ukraine when he was a boy, and my mother was born in Canada of Scottish & French parents. I had a wonderful childhood. I have a sister who is seven years my senior. She is a very devoted and loyal sibling.
I enjoy playing the piano, drawing, and reading. I am a bit of a fantasy fanatic. I love The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter books and movies.
I do contract work for Canada Post Corporation. I have worked for various departments in CPC, which include, but not limited to, The Learning Institute, the Data Warehouse, Legal Affairs, and Federal Government Accounts.
I became a regular user of the internet back in 1998. I was taking an administrative course, and my father-in-law built me a computer to use at home for my school work. I subscribed to dial-up internet and man was I HOOKED!
I started my internet escapades via Yahoo! and ICQ chat forums. I ran a chat room in ICQ. I got bored with the monotony of chat, and started working on graphics and creating web pages.
I was invited to join a website competition that, unfortunately, disbanded. Many friends went in different directions. Thistledown and I remained in contact, and he invited me to join Little Dragon Castle. It wasn't LDC yet. I came into Little Dragon Castle following it's conception. I was a staff member for a year, and helped in various departments to get the ball rolling. For various reasons, I left the group. During my hiatus, I hosted an MSN chat room for the locals of Ottawa until MSN changed their format, and made the ownership of rooms a pay only option. I found myself missing the fun and camaraderie of the LDC group so much, I returned to Little Dragon Castle.I was involved in founding, and co-owner of Little Dragon Castle since 2000, with one of my best friends, Lady Raphaeli. The members are fantastic, and the staff incredible! Thistledown and I have now resigned from ownership of Little Dragon Castle, but remain as members. I am enjoying the spare time, and have finally made some changes to this site, and become active in some art groups.
